Spraying
Before food plots can be seeded the area typically requires being sprayed with a Round-up type of product. This ensures our plantings have the least competition and can grow to maturity at its maximum rate. If you do not have access to spraying equipment Bioplots will be glad to spray your area. Spraying works best under moist conditions and must be done a minimum of two weeks prior to planting.
Mowing
If the area to be planted is overgrown, mowing will be required. This ensures a solid seed bed will be established and allows sunlight to adequately react with sprouts. Bioplots will be glad to handle any mowing needs you may have. For your food plots to be successful preparation prior to seeding must not be ignored.

Planting
Bioplots utilizes both till and no-till drills. Most crops can be planting using the faster no-till method with the exception of corn. Please allow at least 14 feet for equipment clearance into your area. Call early to book as prime planting dates are limited.
Liming and Fertilization
Bioplots can test and adjust the pH of your soil to the proper level, ensuring all nutrients in the soil are available for the plants use. Soil fertility is also tested making sure the required elements for growth are present.
